Welcome to the Amarillo Police Department website. It is an honor to serve this community alongside the dedicated men and women of this department. We believe that effective policing requires a proactive approach. Through the effective use of technology, data, and strategic enforcement, the Amarillo Police Department works not only to respond to crime but to prevent it. By deploying resources strategically, focusing on problem-solving, and continually evaluating our practices, the department strives to reduce harm, improve public safety, and serve the community in the most effective way possible.
